Senior Hyland OnBase Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hyland OnBase Engineer to lead the design, development, optimization, and delivery of process automation solutions for our client's enterprise content management solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in OnBase configuration, solution architecture, API development, workflow automation, and enterprise-level project delivery.

You will serve as a technical expert, strategic partner, and consultant collaborating across business units to maximize the value of Hyland OnBase for ISW clients. The ideal candidate combines hands-on engineering excellence with strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Engineering & Development

• Design, configure, and maintain complex OnBase Workflow, WorkView, Unity Forms, and Document Management solutions.
• Develop custom integrations using Unity API, REST APIs, and OnBase SDK.
• Architect scalable solutions aligned with business goals, compliance requirements, and system best practices.

Project Management & Leadership

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of OnBase initiatives, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑launch optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business stakeholders, external vendors, and process owners.
• Coordinate project timelines, dependencies, and resources while ensuring on‑time, high‑quality delivery.

Process Automation & Optimization

• Partner with business units to assess workflows, identify bottlenecks, and recommend automation strategies.
• Implement and refine process automation using Workflow, WorkView, RPA connectors, and integration services.
• Champion continuous improvement and system optimization across the ECM ecosystem.

System Administration & Support

• Oversee environment configuration, performance tuning, updates, and patching.
• Manage security roles, user groups, document types, system settings, and retention schedules.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure system reliability and uptime.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on Hyland OnBase experience, including workflow design, configuration, and administration.
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in technology, ECM, or business process automation projects.
• Proven expertise in Unity API development, C#, .NET, REST, or related integration technologies.
• Strong background in process automation consulting, business analysis, and workflow optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Proficient with OnBase components such as:
• Configuration Client
• WorkView / Case Management
• Workflow Designer
• OnBase Studio
• Unity Client
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hyland certifications such as:
• OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator (OCWA)
• OnBase Certified WorkView Developer (OCWV)
• OnBase API Certification (OCAPI)
• Experience with Hyland Cloud, OnBase Foundation versions, intelligent data capture, or enterprise system integrations (ERP, CRM, EMR, etc.).
• Background in document management, content lifecycle governance, or enterprise architecture.

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and versatile Intelligent Data Capture Engineer with expertise in ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY Vantage. Key Responsibilities: 

1. Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and document processing workflows. 
2. Design and implement intelligent data capture solutions using ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY Vantage to automate document classification, data extraction, and validation processes. 
3. Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to support data extraction and integration with client systems. 
4. Create custom scripts and extensions in C# to enhance the functionality and performance of ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY Vantage solutions. 
5. Configure and deploy ABBYY FlexiCapture projects, including defining document types, extraction rules, and validation criteria. 
6. Integrate ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY Vantage solutions with existing client applications and systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and workflow integration. 
7. Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of intelligent data capture solutions. 
8. Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and clients throughout the implementation and deployment process. 
9. Stay updated on the latest advancements in ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY Vantage technology and recommend innovative approaches to optimize solution capabilities. 
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, architects, and business analysts, to deliver comprehensive automation solutions.

 Qualifications: 

• Proven experience in intelligent data capture solutions development, with expertise in ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY Vantage. 
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance. 
• Proficiency in C# scripting for developing custom scripts and extensions. 
• Experience with document processing workflows, OCR (Optical Character Recognition), and document classification techniques. 
• Knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies.
